Pastor Steven Lockhart
Born and raised here in Cleveland, Ohio. A third generation preacher, called at a young age to preach the gospel, received the Lord as his personal Savior at age 17. Called to the ministry in 1978 while studying the Word and confirmed through an unknown Evangelist running a Revival at New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C under the late Supt. Titus Lockhart. Received initial credentials as a Minister in 1981 and began working in various works within the church. Steven began the tape ministry, and for two other ministries Rainbow of Praise & Greater Harvard Ave. He began outreach ministries for three different ministries which included Youth Prison, Women Prison & Shelter ministries that are still active, and a clothing ministry for the Homeless. He served as Sunday School Superintendent as well as taught various classes.
Steven has held various offices while serving 3 different Pastors: Outreach President, District Evangelist over 4 churches & Mission President.
In 1995 while working as a machine operator assistant I heard the Lord say Refuge. Yet, it was not until June 24, 2001 that Refuge Ministries was birthed, currently known as the House of Refuge International Church.
Steven was ordained an Elder in March 1998 by the late Bishop R.L Chapman Ohio Northwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He served as the District Evangelist under the late Supt. J.D James. He served as an assistant Chaplain for 8 years at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correction. Began a Nursing Home Ministry at Concordia Care, this ministry is still functioning today. Also Steven has conducted many outdoor Evangelistic Meetings & Revivals.
Steven has sponsored various Conferences/ Seminars throughout the years as a Pastor which includes: Leadership, Men’s, Women’s, Prophetic Conferences; Biblical Prosperity Seminars, Health & Wellness Seminars, Domestic Violence Awareness some of which are in their 4th & 5th years. We’ve also sponsored various musical concerts as well.
Pastor Lockhart has received from Spirit of Truth Institute his Doctorate Degree in Christian Education and has been certified as a Computer Technician. Currently he's enrolled at Liberty University as an online student to further his Christian Educational Studies.
Pastor Lockhart received his ordination as an Apostle, June 2008 under Dr. Richard Williams, Bishop of Mt. Calvary III S.O.T.P Outreach Ministries International. Currently he is serving under Chief Apostle Joseph L. Prude of New Hope Fellowship International Network of Churches.
Pastor Sherle Lockhart
Prophet Sherle P. Lockhart born in Washington D.C , raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Mother of two girls and one son, wife and co-Pastor of the House of Refuge International Church. Prophet Lockhart has completed training with W.E.M.A under New Spirit Revival Center with a certificate of completion in Biblical Counseling, also she has trained as a Chaplain with One Accord Ministry under Dr. Gregory Clark at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correction Facility. Currently she heads the Daughter’s of Zion Women’s Group, the Intercessory group and is a Certified Domestic Violence Advocate within the House of Refuge. Currently she is furthering her studies in Christian Counseling for Women at American Counseling Academy.
Prophet Sherle began her journey for the Lord under Temple Baptist Church Rev. Alexander Campbell in 1979 and later gave her life to the Lord under the late Supt. Titus Lockhart New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. were she finally met and married Elder Steven Lockhart.
Prophet Sherle recently has been ordained as a National Prophet with Mt Calvary Outreach III under Prophet Richard Williams, DD and has begun a new journey in the Lord. Prophet Sherle has faithfully serve alongside her husband Pastor Steven Lockhart helping and assisting him in the establishing of the House of Refuge.
Clothing and Food Pantry
The Need to Feed Ministry is a service that is offered to families that live in our current area and surrounding communities.
With the economy as it is, we find that there is a need for extra help with food for families.
We're soliciting your help, contribution are needed to keep our Pantry plentiful.
We also take donations for clothing and school supplies.
